The source monitor is the main place you will go when you want to check your assets before including them in a sequence. When you view video clip in the source monitor , you watch them i their original format . They will play back with their frame rate ,frame size ,field order,audio sample rate and audio depth exactly as they were recorded. When you add a clip to a sequence A adobe premiere pro conform it to match the sequence settings .This means the frame rate ,frame size ,and audio type might all be adjust so that every thing play back the same way . As well as being a viewer for multiple file type the source monitor provides important additional function . You can use two special kinds of marker ,called in and out point ,to select just part of the clips inclusion in your sequence .You can also add comment to other kids of markers to refer to later or remind yourself about important fats relating to a clip.You might include a note about part of a shot you don't have permission to use ,
